Trevor Dykstra, AIA
Principal/Owner
Trevor Dykstra, AIA received his BS in Environmental Design (2004) and Masters of Architecture (2005) from Montana State University. He joined Lane Williams Architects in 2006 and assumed ownership in 2024.
Trevor runs the day to day operations of the firm and serves as the lead designer on all our projects. He draws from his wide-ranging experience across the building industry from workign as a software engineer in the real estate world to milling lumbers at a saw mill to the construction site where he worked as a journeyman carpenter and a steel fabricator.
With an early background in the fine arts he’s passionate about the connection between art & architecture; in 2014 he co-founded the all volunteer art/design collective the Seattle Design Nerds which has constructed a wide variety of temporary inflatable pavilions and interactive installations across the United States. In addition, in 2011 he initiated and continues to lead the Seattle Design Festival’s outdoor programming efforts. When he's not thinking deeply as design he's traveling or photographing professionally for many of his favorite arts organizations.
